Lisa Johnson, currently a lecturer in the Dance Department at California State University, Long Beach, studied under scholarship at the Marin Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, School of American Ballet and National Ballet School, Toronto. She was awarded first place in the Hoffman competition and was a semi-finalist in the Prix de Lausanne. She performed with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Feld Ballet in New York, Ballet Chicago and Hamburg Ballet, and was principal guest artist with the Santa Barbara Ballet and Ballet Pacifica. She has been on faculty of California State University, Fullerton; the Saint Joseph Ballet; Long Beach Ballet Arts Center; Southland Ballet Academy; and the Ballet Pacifica Academy.
